Keep your sports training focused with this mid-sized, shock-resistant Timex Ironman Triathlon multi-function sport digital watch (model 5H031), which features a 30-lap memory and the unique hands-free Flix Indiglo activation system. It features a durable dark gray resin case, silver stainless steel top ring and large buttons for easy access to timing functions. It also offers a 6-year battery life, water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet), three alarms (with 5-minute backup), and three time zones. Other features include a top pusher (in orange) for easy access to lap and split times, and all-day white reflector display. Sport timing functions include:
  • 100-hour chronograph with lap or split option in large digits
  • 99-lap counter
  • 30-lap memory recall
  • 24-hour countdown with countdown/stop (CS) and countdown/repeat (CR)
  • Forward or backward setting
  • Built-in setting reminders
  • Golf score keeper

This watch incorporates the Timex Flix system, which activates the Indiglo night-light with a simple flick of your wrist. To activate FLIX, put the watch into Night-Mode by pressing and holding the Indiglo night-light button 3 seconds until it beeps. With the watch in Night-Mode, a forward "flick" of the wrist with a sharp "stop" will activate the Indiglo night-light for three seconds.

The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer.

200 meters????? (2008-03-16)
I went down 15 meters with this watch and that's all she wrote-destroyed. Until than, I loved it

Great watch (2008-01-18)
I purchased this watch to use in my wood shop. It is great, but I did not realize it was the Mid size. I returned it for the full size. The features a great and the watch is tough. I give it 5 stars since I am tough on watches in my work as a physical therapist and on weekends working in the yard and in my wood shop. I am a runner and really enjoy the stop watch and count down timer. The water resistance feature is nice since i swim a lot.

Functional, durable and full of features (2006-10-12)
Being a 200 meter watch, its utility is in the ability to use the stopwatch underwater. The styling of a sports watch is standard - Black and brushed stainless steel. The high visibility orange buttons allows one to see it better underwater.

The strap has many notches so that the size is universal.

Features include 3 alarm settings, a timer, Event reminder, stopwatch, 3 time zones, and a Golf score.

Easy enough to use, the LED is clear. The Indiglo is different in convention from the 1st generation. Only the numbers will illuminate which do take getting used to.

Buttons are large and easy to push. The anti-shock feature lets you know it can take punishment over conventional watches. Less bulky in styling than its Casio equivalent, I chose this model.

The golf score allows up to 15 strokes per hole - which I hope will not be necessary for any golfer. This is a nice extra feature that is easier than keeping track of the score card and pencil when walking the course and carrying the bag on your back, as I do.

All in all, this is a solid watch with a wide range of features. I highly recommend this watch for someone with an active lifestyle - for land and in the water.

Bad Design Watch (2006-08-14)
This is a badly designed watch for an adult. From a functional point of view: 1) the crystal is too small, unless you turn in your wrist completely you cannot read the time; 2) when you use the lighting mechanism in a dark area, such as a theater or movie, the whole face is too dark and you can hardly read the time, 3) the circumference of the crystal should be bigger, otherwise promote it as a child's watch; 4) the two orange buttons make the watch look cheap, when it doesn't have to.

Now a Positive: the mechanism works fine after a month, or so.

Conclusion: I will refrain from buying something off the net, because i cannot see it before deciding. Michael
