Amazon.com Product Description
The world's smallest, most advanced laser rangefinder, the Bushnell Tour V2 weighs just 6.6 ounces and is accurate from 5 to 1000 yards. It's equipped with PinSeeker technology to combine pinpoint accuracy and consistency enabling you to range up to 300 yards (±1 yard) to the flag without the use of reflectors.

Designed exclusively with the bottom of the cup in mind, Bushnell's Pinseeker mode allows easy acquisition of the flag without inadvertently capturing background target distances. When more than one object is acquired, the closer of the two objects is shown on the LCD screen.

Powered by a 3-volt battery, the ultra-compact Tour V2 boasts a 5x magnification and features a rubber armoring, making it easy to grip. It also comes with a premium carrying case. The Tour V2 is legal for tournament play and for posting of scores for handicap purposes. How a Laser Rangefinder Works
Bushnell's Yardage Pro rangefinders use an invisible, eye-safe Class 1 Laser beam (as classified by the FDA) which is "bounced" off distant objects with the press of a button. Then, the rangefinder's high-speed digital clock measures the time it took for a laser beam to reach a target and return to the unit. Next, using advanced digital electronics, the rangefinder instantly calculates the distance within ±1 yard and shows the range in either yards or meters on a through-the-lens LCD Display. The entire process is so fast that less than a second elapses between the time you press the button to generate a laser beam to the time the exact range to your target is displayed.

Customer Reviews

Awesome Product (2008-07-29)
I just received Tour V2 as a warrenty replacement for the Pro Tour that I returned as defective.
The Tour V2 is so far superior to the Pro Tour especially the pin seeker feature. It recognizes the flag, even when it is limp, and bingo you have the yardage.
Battery life of the Pro Tour was a problem and supposedly the V2 is far superior. We'll see.

Bushnell Tour V2 Pinseeker Rangefinder (2008-07-18)
Still early days yet - been carrying this one around for about a week. Used it on three occasions. It does take some getting used to in terms of what you want it to measure. For example, shooting the flagstick may not work as well bouncing the laser off someone's white shirt if they're on the green and about equidistant to the flag. Still, the distances worked out reasonably well so far and helped me with my club selection.

I will give another update in about a month's time.

Excellent product (2008-07-17)
Have had the TourV2 Pinseeker a few weeks now and am absolutely happy with it. Easy to use, lightweight and just tucks into one of my golf bag pockets...in less than 30 seconds I can get a distance "read" and make a club decision. Much faster than trying to figure out the distance or stepping off distances from markers on the course. When I select a club, it's nice to actually know the distance to the flag....and I find it useful to check distance to hazards, creeks, etc. Already seeing improvements in my scoring.

Best golf purchase in years (2008-07-07)
I have used a skycaddie for two years. In fact, both only lasted about 6 months before they broke. In a panic, I bought a Bushnell V2 w/ Pinseeker the day before going to Pinehurst and played 4 rounds of golf with it, three of the courses I've never played before. It does everything Bushnell claims. Its very easy to use and the Pinseeker mode works perfectly. It never gave me an incorrect reading. One day I was with a Pinehurst member who had a laser designed to work specifically with a reflective element on top of all the Pinehurst flags. Every reading on every par 3 was exactly the same as his to the yard. If you have never used a Rangefinder or skycaddie, I'd recommend the Bushnell range finder. It does everything a skycaddie does AND you can laser anything on the course, not just the geographic references the skycaddie has in its course memory. I'm bitter about my skycaddies expenses, but this thing works better. When I get my skycaddie back, I'll use it but won't spend the money to renew the annual membership this fall.

First one arrived defective (2008-06-28)
Received my Bushnell Tour V2 w/ Pinseeker yesterday, but 3 of the 7 LCD segments in the "ones" digit did not display. I could not distinguish between 3 and 8, for example. We'll write back when the replacement arrives.
