Okay at best for high handicap's (2008-03-06)
Had the sim for about a month now... Built a permanant screen of 5 layers of fabric that will absorb a full driver swing using real balls, and also stays taught for the projector I added for a 9' wide by 6' high screen.. Got a little too excited, a little too early as you will read...
This is set up in a steel storage building with no outside light... No matter how i arrange the lighting down to none(as suggested in the manual) or clean and tape the clubs (fairly new shiny x-20 tours's) I can not get consistant readings of club face and swing path... Speed and distance fairly acurate, but the actual shot shape is far from close... The same half swings all repetitive continuous swings with the club closed derive readings all over the map open/closed .5 degree one time 12 or more the next...
The skinny... I have tried to contact dancin dogg many times and yet have heard back from them at all... dissappointing to say the least... Would say unless you are of high to very high handicap range save your money, you will be dissapointed quickly.. it is maddening to me... guess i will try the pro swing next...

    I loooove this thing (2007-12-18)
I've had my unit for over a year now and I still love it. The thing just works.
I was skeptical when I ordered it but the swing sensing and ball flight calculations are extremely precise. This is a serious piece of equipment (and the construction is first rate). If two different swings in real life would result in the ball landing a foot away, you better believe this thing will detect it. I feel like the difference I get in feedback between this device and going down to the range isn't worth walking out the front door. The increased time I get swinging clubs and looking at flight paths and feedback data has helped me to graduate to the next level of shaping shots in my game.
Also the size and clean design (no tethered balls or dangling appendages) make it so portable. The whole unit fits perfectly in my laptop bag with my laptop so I've essentially got the potential to play a round of golf in just a little laptop bag provided I bring a club. It's pretty cool to be able to head over to a friend's and drop a little plastic pad on the floor, plug it into my laptop, and start hitting shots. My what a world we live in.
Easily the best golf money I've ever spent.
